What is the max length I can run a Cat6 cable from a router to a computer? Does installing a switch or hub in the line at say the 100' point increase the length you can run from the router?

The max length Cat6 can run would be 100 meters or just over 300 feet. You can put in a router or splitter and extend that distance by another 100 meters/300 feet.
